The Science Behind Tapping
In her book: The Science Behind Tapping, Peta Stapleton clearly shows how Tapping has been clinically proven to reduce stress hormones in the body and calm the parts of the brain that trigger the stress response in the first place - with lasting effect. That means that the stressed condition does not return. While tapping is not a medical treatment, it is proving its place in the world of enabling the retuning of stress states and their related illness to wellness.
How Does Tapping Work?
Tapping can retune our stressed states with ease. When we are stressed, both the digestive and immune systems cannot work. A lot of the time we can be triggering the stress response all of the time and totally subconsciously. This means that we are not consciously aware of how stressed we really are until it's too late and we end up with a stress related illness.
Tapping especially retunes the subconscious stress triggers that we have with lasting effect.
Are There Different Ways To Tap?
There are many forms of Tapping. Thought Field Therapy is a technique that taps specific points for specific problems. It was created by Roger Callahan. Roger was famous for creating the 5 minute phobia fix.
EFT Tapping (also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques) was created by Gary Craig, a student of Roger Callahan. EFT is the most popular form of tapping. It is the technique of gently but firmly tapping energy points on the body to bring relief from stress related conditions, including illness.
Two Meridian Tapping is another - slightly more advanced - form of tapping.
What is Two Meridian Tapping?
How is Two Meridian Tapping Different from other forms of Tapping?
Most forms of tapping, tap on only one energy point on the body at a time – or tapping the same point on both sides of the body, if you wish.
Two Meridian Tapping (TMT) involves tapping two different (but related) energy points on the body - at the same time and in a certain order. Tapping this way helps all our energy to achieve better flow quickly. This allows our whole vibrations to help each other retune all stressed states, especially deep seated unresolved emotional events from our past.
Why Can Two Meridian Tapping Work So Well, With Lasting Effect?
We are energy beings. Cut open any one of our trillions of cells and you will discover that we are made up of tiny strings of vibrational energy. That means we are vibrational energy. Vibrations can be influenced by other vibrations - both positively and negatively.
Everything is connected and related. By using Two Meridian Tapping each day, we are showing up for ourselves. We are being our own best friend. We are deliberately retuning our energy to positive frequencies and it't all done naturally.
Does Tapping Online Work as well as Face to Face?
Yes. There is much research to show that Tapping works effectively online. Many of my own clients have reported major shifts in their stress and energy levels after attending 1:1 online Tapping sessions. I have been tapping live on Facebook for many months with many people telling me how just following along is helping them cope with stress, anxiety, depression, pain, etc.
Can Group Tapping Webinars Work for things like Anxiety and Food Cravings?
Yes. Tapping as part of a group can work just as effectively as 1:1 for specific issues. For example all attendees on a Six Week Live Webinar Series focused on Retuning Anxiety using Two Meridian Tapping reported major shifts in their anxiety levels. Some have reported total retuning of all anxiety symptoms before the end of the Six Week Programme.
How Do I Know If I Need Group or 1:1 Tapping?

How Many Sessions Will I need?
This really depends on the needs of the clients. I find that clients can need anything from 4-6 sessions. Sometimes clients book a combination of Kinesiology and Tapping sessions to help retune mind, body and soul. Others prefer to have only Kinesiology and still others choose Tapping on its own. Two Meridian Tapping Balances All Our Energies
Two Meridian Tapping is about balancing all our vibrational energies to their best frequency. That may sound complicated, but it is a simple as tuning to a specific radio station. The points tapped are at the beginning or end of energy pathways that flow through our body - also called meridians.
Meridians were discovered by the Chinese thousands of years ago. There are fourteen main meridian energy pathways with twelve of them running down both sides of our body. These pathways work in pairs, helping to keep each other in balance. By Tapping at the beginning or end of the two related energy pathways we are sending little pulses of energy into them, at the same time, helping them to have a sort of a joint energy retuning.
What Are We Retuning The Energy Pathways To?
I think there is a few levels of tuning going on. First we are allowing the two meridians to retune with one another.
While Tapping I will always make sure to say an ‘I truly …’ positive statement in the present tense – like ‘I truly am calm’. Thus, I am tuning the vibrations of these related pathways to the positive vibration of the thought i am thinking at that time.
Optimal Vibrational Energy Frequency – Our State of True Wellness
Our optimum (or best) Vibrational Energy is a mental, chemical, physical and soulful state of Wellness, that allows us to reach our greatest and truest potential. In this place we are healthy in mind, body and soul. We feel a strong connection with the Greater Power and can see and take our unique and special place in the Universal Vibration. At our optimal frequency of wellness, stress is neither good or bad, but rather a natural part of the ebbing and flowing of life – just another wave to be surfed.
My goal is to enable as many people as I possibly can to retune their body, mind and soul to reach their greatest potential.
