Saint Brigid’s Day is fast approaching in the Christian Calendar. The 1st February marks this special day. This is also the first day of spring in the Celtic Calendar.
This time of year always calls me into my feminine energy of creativity and healing. I love ritualising the ending of winter and the beginning of spring, the journey back into the light and the new life that reminds us that no part of nature stands still. It is always transitioning from one season to the next.
Who Is Saint Brigid
Saint Brigid is an Irish Christian Saint, born to Brocca a Christian slave and Dubthach, a Celtic Chieftain. During her younger live she was called Brigit, the name associated with the goddess energy. It is believed that Brigit united the goddess way and christian way in early Christian Ireland, then being called Brigid.
There are many stories about Brigit/Brigid, but what I get from them all is that Brigid and Brigit really take us back to a deep, deep divine feminine energy that is in the soil, the waters, the mountains and trees of Ireland. Long before we had holy wells and churches, we had a strong devotion to this amazing divine feminine energy and called on it for blessing of crops, of livestock, of young life, young love.
Expecting mothers called blessings on the baby growing in the womb. Young couples asked blessings on their love and their marriage. Farmers asked blessing on their crops. The sick asked for healing, the elderly asked for blessings, everyone called on this feminine energy all of the time.
Positive Energy Brigid’s Crosses
Over the last year I have been making Positive Energy Brigid’s Crosses with stained glass and and biophotonic miron violet glass. It’s been a journey of spiritual creativity and connectedness with the energy of Brigid, the goddess, saint and feminine divine.
The Cross Unites Goddess, Saint And More
Some would argue that the Brigid’s Cross highlights more of the Christian and saintly image of Brigid. I would be more on the side that the Brigid’s Cross is the holding of both the saintly, pagan and energy aspects of Brigid.
For me the Brigid’s Cross calls in the energies of the four directions (North, South, East and West) and the 5 elements of earth, air, fire, water and ether, to the centre or the Well of Divine Energy.
The Brigid’s Cross calls you into your centre, from all that you are – your mental, emotional, physical, chemical being – into your soul centre.
Miron Violet Centre
I place some Miron Violet Glass in the centre of the cross because of its energy balancing vibrations. Sometimes stress blocks you from coming into your centre. Yet, when you do manage to come into your genre, you will find energy balance. Because there is Miron Violet Glass in the Brigid’s Cross, when you are near the cross your energy will be cleansed and balanced, even boosted through the Miron Glass.
Dark Glass Brings Energy Boost
To the eye the glass is dark, some might say boring, dull, even depressing. But the glass is far from dark, dull boring or depressing! It has combined colour vibrations of infra-red and ultra-violet. Vibrations of healing, cleansing offering an energy boost. It is like a healing and transforming yin-yang energy combination.
The four arms of the cross draw you in from your busy life, to the centre to be energised and rebalanced before sending you out again.
Your Darkness Is Your Light
It is the same with darkness in your life. You can carry dark or shadow energies through your life, thanks to unresolved painful trauma and experiences from your past. You tend to want to stay away from that darkness, and keep busy, not wanting to calm your thoughts in case you begin to fall into that darkness.
You fear falling into that shadow side in case you don’t come out again! You also have been taught by society to seek pleasure only. Stay away from your shadow side. But all this does is keep you triggering stress and this will block your natural energy flow.
Unresolved Darkness Keeps You In Pain
When that darkness or shadow side is left unresolved it will keep you caught in the pain of the past events. You will spend lots of your life trying to stay away from the darkness. You might try to drink it away, work it away, numb it with drugs, or sex or even exercise and movies, lots of movies.
What if that darkness in you actually holds healing? What if resolving your shadow energy has the potential to raise your vibrational energy much higher than what it currently is.
Brigid’s Cross Calls You To Resolve Darkness
I believe the Brigid’s Cross calls you to resolve and retune your darkness, so you can transform darkness into light. The Brigid’s cross is a reminder that you are more than your struggles, your pain, your darkness.
The Brigid’s Cross calls you inward and back out again. It challenges you to be constantly dipping into your deeper energy self and then come out into your more colourful energies – a sort of a spiral energy.
By resolving any pain, darkness, unresolved struggles and negative beliefs about yourself you open doors to greater energy vibrations.
Retuning To Miron Violet Positive Energy
Infra-red and ultra-violet have much higher vibrations than stressed energy. By combining infra-red with ultra-violet you have such a recipe for success when it comes to raising stressed energy vibrations. The natural vibration of the Miron Violet Glass has potential to cleanse and raise your stressed energies.
This is probably why every single person that has been muscle tested with Miron Violet Glass has had their energy vibrations rise when holding positive energy pendants or sun-catchers and these Positive Energy Stained Glass Brigid’s Crosses.
How Can You Get Your Positive Energy Brigid’s Cross
There are a number of ways that you can get a Positive Energy Brigid’s Cross. If You are in Ireland on on the East Coast, you can look out for one of the Fairs that I will be at. The first Fair of 2024 will be on Monday 5th February.

You can also come to my Creative Shed and get your cross here in Dublin.
If you live outside Ireland, please contact me to have a cross or two sent to you by post. Or if you know someone who is travelling to Ireland we can try and hook up and send the crosses back in their hand luggage.
What Will You Do To Honour Brigid
Ritual is our way of honouring the sacred, the mysterious, the divine and the ordinary aspects of life. How will you honour Brigid, saint, goddess or divine feminine on the 1st of February?
You could visit a Brigid’s Well, or a special space that is dedicated to Brigit. Three main places are St Brigid’s Cathedral in Kildare, Solas Bhride Centre in Kildare town, and the Hill of Faughart, in County Louth. There are lots of events on to mark Brigid 1500, though most are booked out. You don’t need to go to a big event to ritualise Brigid.
A long standing tradition at this time is to put a piece of cloth out for the night of the 31st January for the energy of Brigit to bless this clothe as she passes by. Then keep this cloth close to you in your home, or in your bag for the coming year offering you blessing and protection.
I like to go visit a Brigid’s well. I will pray blessings on myself, my loved ones and my year. I will also take some water home with me for the coming year. You might have a Brigid’s well near you. Google Brigid’s Wells near me for more information.
I hope you do something to honour Brigit or Brigid goddess and saint and of course, divine feminine energy of Ireland.
I travel to Holistic and Craft Fairs with my Positive Energy Brigid’s Crosses. I generally let people know were I will be on my Social Media Channels or in my Blog Posts. For the latest updates, follow RetuningME on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok .
