Spring – the time of jumping lambs, new growth and days getting that little bit brighter. But it’s also a damp time with regards to weather, especially here in Ireland.
Many years ago, I wrote a piece called the Seasons of Life/The Seasons of Nature. It was a piece looking at how the seasons of nature are really a great metaphor for the seasons we transition through in our lives.
Your Are A Seasonal Being
You are a seasonal being. Right now during this season of spring you are making so many transitions within your vibration just as nature is. You need to mind yourself through these seasonal transitions as they can unsettle you.
Some Helpful Wellness Tips
Grounding
Feeling your feet on the ground is a good exercise at this time of year. Engaging in Yoga and Tai Chi are also a great way to help you feel grounded and at home in your body through spring. Going for a walk in daylight is also a great way to improve wellness.
Balancing Energy Overloads
Another challenge during the transitional seasons is fungal and bacterial overloads. The weather is already damper in the transitional seasons of spring and summer. A good natural support would be oregano capsules. These can be oil or herbal. Back walnut is also very good.
Overloading On Sugar
Sugar – as in the processed kind, really block up your energy flow and can cause so much distress to your physical body. Easter is coming and of course you are going to want to indulge in sugar, especially if you have been off sugar for lent.
Trust me this is one of the worst things you can do – as you will overload your system that has got somewhat used to being clean and clear. This will really shock your energy and possibly cause a clear out – also known as a cold or flu.
Perhaps just have a little sugar and then stick to the natural sources of sugar. Your body will thank you. Sugary drinks are probably the worst form of processed sugar as they can really block your energy fast.
Kinesiology Helps Balance Cravings
If you feel you have a sugar addiction you could try some chromium or selenium, magnesium is also good. I would strongly suggest you go see a Kinesiologist who can help you get a handle on your sugar intake.
Tapping Can Also Help With Addictions
I also use Tapping to help me lower my stress levels and so lower my need to sugar, which always seems to be higher when I am stressed. Tapping has been proven to reduce stress, naturally and with lasting effect. This means that the thing that was stressing you, can lose its impact on your life.
Daylight Delight
Spring Equinox marks the beginning of the sun rising in the sky again (above 45 degrees). This means we have more and more time to be getting out (around midday) and having more natural vitamin D synthesis through absorbing some great sunlight.
When the sun is in the sky for longer and you are exposed to more daylight you naturally boost your wellness. But you also need to be aware that natural sunlight does come with a health warning, once we have passed maturation. What that means is, just like all species on this planet, when you reach the point of maturation (in your late 20’s) too much of the sunlight can cause premature ageing.
Drinking Good Water
While it is always advisable to drink good water all the time, it is especially important during transitional seasons because with all transitions, comes a clearing within the system. Water helps this natural clearing to happen with less discomfort.
Plastic Bottled Water Should Carry A Health Warning
Water supplied in single use plastic bottles is not the best option because if that plastic bottle gets heated a few times during transport or while in storage it can release carcinogenic and oestrogen mimicking chemicals into the water. What you thought was good for you has now become harmful. The best option is to have a good water filtration system under your sink, one that cleans and enhances your water.
Drinking water the right way can help with so many energy functions. You can get some water from fruits and vegetables, but I always say the best source is by drinking pure water.
How To Drink Water
The best way to drink water is to SSS – Sip – Swivel – Swallow. When you sip water into your mouth and swivel it around your mouth before swallowing you all your body to prepare for absorbing the water. You also clean your mouth a little. Both are good benefits for your wellness.
Enjoy The Spring Journey
In conclusion, while I have offered some helpful tips in this post about transitioning the season of spring, the best tip is to really encourage you to enjoy the journey.
Don’t be so busy that you miss all the amazing colours that are springing up in your garden or neighbourhood. Notice the buds beginning to open into beautiful bright green leaves.
Take at least 5 minutes each day to see and celebrate all the signs of spring and most important really enjoy the journey towards the longest day.
