Through the month of October, I have been focusing my posts on the various natural habits, tools and technologies that I have found very helpful for myself, and other women who seek my help, while managing the menopause journey.
Perhaps you have found that a combination of both medical and natural supports work best. I feel you do the best you can with what you have – we all do. On a stressful day I quite often feel that my best efforts fall far short of what I need – and I always tell myself that for today this is the best I can do, right now, with what I have.
Positive Thoughts Help With Menopause Stress
Even the act of telling yourself you are doing the best you can, eases your menopause stresses. One of the greatest stressors is your own inner critic telling you that your best is not good enough. You can get so used to this inner critical voice that it’s really difficult to change negative put down scripts, especially when you are stressed. These are the subconscious thoughts that you will access automatically when you are really stressed. Of course such thoughts just put you under more and more stress.
Stress Plays Havoc With Menopause
Stress can really disrupt the menopause experience. Stress is the leading cause of most illness. Stress comes in many forms. But stress can be controlled and retuned to higher vibrations that offer wellness and success. This is why I call my work RetuningME™. I use what ever I have at my disposal to help you retune your stressed triggering automatic negative thoughts and beliefs so they no longer keep you in that negative stressed state.
Stress Blocks Soul Connection
You are a soul being on a human journey. Connecting with your soul energy is essential. I have found that stress blocks the soul connection. When I am stressed I can’t settle myself into a soul space. I’m always on go, go, go. Now I am a go, go, go energy anyway. But when I am over stressed I’m not able to calm my energy enough to be in a soulful space.
This is where Tapping really works for me. Tapping helps me to rebalance all my meridians and neurotransmitter energies and then I can really connect into my soul space and allow myself to be nourished by all the healing that is on offer in my natural environment.
My Soulful Activities and Spaces
There are many actives that helps me connect into and nourish my soul. I’m going to share some of them with you in this post in the hope that they may also offer you a deeper soul connection and soul nourishment.
Nature Offers Natural Soulful Connections During Menopause
My number one sacred space, where I get such soul nourishment from, is in Nature. I spent over 15 years in Religious Life and while I can say I have stood in some very holy and sacred buildings (including Churches), they can’t hold a candle to the sacredness offered through the natural elements. When I think of it, of course natural places are better because they are filled with natural energy vibrations – just as we are.
When we are stressed our natural vibrations tend to go low, though for some, they actually go too high. Nature offers an opportunity to balance those stressed vibrations and sometimes without us even realising our stressed energy is actually being retuned
The Sea Naturally Retunes Stressed Energy.
Take The Sea. Have you ever gone for a walk by the sea, in a stressed energy state, to realise that you are all of a sudden much calmer. The sea is my number 1 go to for soul connection. I often feel a yearning to go to the sea, not to get into the sea, but just to be by the sea, allowing the waves to retune my energy – naturally.
Any natural flowing water offers such an amazing opportunity for calming your stressed vibrations, especially during menopause. This is why I have put some videos of natural healing water sounds on my YouTube Channel. Not all of us live by the sea, I don’t. But my nervous system doesn’t always need for me to be by the sea, even just hearing the sounds will help my energy to relax and heal. I can listen to my playlist at any time, and so can you.
Walking Among Trees and Beside Streams
Streams in forests are also really amazing for calming stress. I find that just walking among tress can be so grounding and soul nourishing. I often imagine that with every step the earth is willingly taking my stress away and with every breath the trees are filling me with hope and healing.
Gardening Helps Ease Stress During The Menopause
Every year I do a little bit of planting in my garden. Most years I plant flowering plants. This year I created a bigger gardening space and began to plant vegetables and fruit. My Raspberry bush has gifted me with bags of fruit. I have also grown, lettuce, scallions, radish, carrots, chives and potatoes in my little plot.
I worked with the earth and went with the flow. Through the summer I found myself doing little in the garden pretty much every day. This had a major grounding effect on my energy. I also found that I was more regulated through my day. I would nearly prefer to be in my garden than in my treatment room or online with clients.
A Little Gardening Offers Menopause Relief
My days seemed to have a really good natural rhythm with a little gardening, a little glass work, client work, as well as some weekly admin. My social media posts did suffer and perhaps this was no harm. What if all the blue light exposure is causing you stress? I would say it was defo taking its toll on me.
Rituals of Sunrise and Sunset Are Soul Nourishing
Then there’s the sunset and sunrise moments. I find that words very often fail me when I try to describe how deeply these daily sun rituals touch my soul. I remember being told that our ancestors had sun rituals where they would begin their day with the rising sun offering gratitude for having survived the night. Each sunrise brought them the chance to begin again. They would also end their day with sunset, giving thanks for all that they were gifted with in their day. Tomorrow was never taken for granted, so all that was in the day finished with sunset.
Easy Daily Rituals For Lowering Stress Levels
We could learn a lot from these simple daily rituals – beginning each day with gratitude, seeing each new day as an opportunity for new ways – to think, to love, to respect, to be kind. Then letting all that was in our day end with the setting sun – especially all the judgements, the annoyances, but also all the success and achievements and being grateful for all the lessons and blessings through the day.
Creativity – My Number 2 Soul Nourishing Support Through Menopause
I just love being creative. When I can have moments of creativity in my day I feel more grounded, calmer, and more connected to my soul space. I have lots of creative habits:
Abstract Art – I love just playing with colour on a canvas, or page. I often use my less dominant hand when working with colour. I have less control which tends to allow me to express my soulful energy. I get so much insight when I sit with a finished piece of art – allowing it to speak to my life. I believe my soul speaks to me when I engage in abstract art.
Stained Glass work – this is my latest creative habit. It is such a meditative experience. One has to be totally connected in the moment or there could be many accidents. Glass is an unforgiving medium to work with – I have the scares to prove this. Yet, I find that my soul speaks/expresses itself through this medium, not to mention the sense of achievement from making pieces of stained glass.
Music Offers Retuning Of Menopause Stress
Music = vibrations. The older I get the more I crave gentler, more calming and soul nourishing vibrations. Least this is what works for me. Anyone who knows me, knows I play the guitar. I have been the life and soul of many a party. I’ve sung at weddings, funerals and baptisms. I really enjoyed bringing my guitar in the classroom when I taught little people. Music just connects us all at such a deep level. It also allows us to express our emotions. But sometimes we can use music to keep us caught in negative emotional states. This can happen through the lyrics or certain songs or a specific style of musical piece.
Again, could this piece be your soul energy connecting with you? I have been gifted with lots of little musical instruments over the years. I keep these in my clinic room so I can lift them and play them through my day.
Music Retunes Vibrational Retuning
Music is pure vibration. Each vibration will resonate with its same frequency. I often use tuning forks in my treatments to help retune stressed vibrations.
Tuning forks can retune every stressed vibration in your energy system, allowing you to cope much better and indeed engage at such a deeper and more soulful level. I find that when I go for a sound-healing session, I get taken off into such deep 5th dimension vibrations. I wake up feeling so deeply nourished and connected with Divinity and the universe.
Guided Soul Work – Allows Insight During Menopause
When I am relaxed and less stressed, I love to engage in some Guided Soul Work. Some people may also call this mediation and others focusing. I tend to do this through colours and images, body sensations, etc. I use this process in my own life and with clients and it can really bring about such deep levels of retuning of energies. I can get such a sense of connectedness and a clear vision of my life from guided soul work.
Sacred Circle Dance Increases Soul Connectedness In Menopause
Sacred Circle Dance was probably the first energy training I did. Most of the dances are set steps and originate from the ancient cultural dances all over the world. This form as dance is a form of meditation through movement. It is another way of really calming stressed energy and deepening your soul connection.
So Many Stress Reducing And Soul Nourishing Tools During Menopause
In this post I have shared many of the tools I use to help me calm my stress, tap into my soul space and nourish that space during my menopause journey. I also find I get to listen to my soul energy when I am much calmer, less stressed and more creative.
Success Energy Coaching
This is the space I try to bring clients to when I am coaching. It is also why I call the coaching I do Success Energy Coaching – when you are connected into your soul space and being informed from that place – you express your dreams into the greater universe which then offers you more of that same vibration.
What you vibrate you you attract from the universe. When you vibrate at a level of stress, you will get more stress. The ultimate challenge is to retune to a more successful vibration of calm, creativity, acceptance, love, joy, and then you attract more opportunities to continue vibrating at these frequencies and this is where success is.
Nourishing Your Soul Helps Menopause
It is the same in menopause. When you are stressed you cannot connect into your soul space. You cannot express your souls intentions or live from that soulful space. Stress just adds to your menopause symptoms. Stress causes most illness and most menopause symptoms.
Connecting into your soul space will help you to be less stressed and offer you a much calmer, more detached sense of the world. Nature and Creativity are great ways to help you get more grounded into your souls vibration. Nature and creative expression will also help you to calm stressed vibrations. Nature offers you healing vibrations as does being creative.
