When I decided to grow some vegetables and berries in my garden, I was taken to amazing soul depths. It prompted me to create this short video in which I ask the question – how does your garden grow?
Physical Garden and Soul Garden
Perhaps you have a physical garden and it could be much bigger than my little patch. Are you taking time to tend to your garden? Are you growing fruit, herbs, flowers or vegetables in your garden?
I want to talk to you about the other garden you have – Your soul energy garden. While research suggests that getting your hands into the earth is a very good form of stress relief, in this post would like to encourage you to spend a little time focusing on your very own soul space.
For me, tending to my physical garden helps me tend to my soul space or my inner garden. It’s a win – win experience. Every single day I am filled with such pride as I walk around my little patch. There are always a few weeds to pull, or new growths to tend to. I don’t mind admitting that I am not always clear on what is a weed and what is not, and I am slowly getting there.
Just 5-10 minutes in my physical garden and I can feel my stress levels lower, my sense of self-esteem rise and I have a real sense of being successful.
Gardening Lowers My Stress & Much More
Hand on heart, my time in my garden is lowering my stress levels. But more than that I am nourishing my soul as I spend time in my garden each day. I am also spending time in natural daylight and this is helping me to raise my natural vitamin D synthesis.
Stress Lowers Your Energy
Stress lowers your energy vibration, slowing your energy flow and preventing you from living your best life. Getting creative with your stress can help you to express any blips in your energy. Once you find expressing for your stressed energy, you can then find resolution and this is what will then offer you opportunity for soul nourishment and new energy.
Get Creative With Your Stress
I love tending to my garden. I love using creative ways to helps me stay grounded in my soul energy. I find so much meaning in creativity. Answers always seem to come when I’m lost in creative habits.
Getting creative works so well for me that I am going to offer some 1 day workshops where you can come and get creative with your stress. Only 4 people will be hosted at a workshop. Creative expression of stress energy or past loss can offer amazing opportunities for deep healing and retuning of your vibrational energy.
This is something I used to do when I was in Religious Life – I used to facilitate Creative Retreats. While these workshops will be slightly different, they will offer you a chance to come away for a day and just de-stress.
Getting Lost In Colour Nourishes Your Soul
