Are you sick of setting New Year’s Resolutions and before you know it, they have faded into the distant thoughts, never to be talked about again! You start off with great enthusiasm and even have a vision of how well you will be as a result of these resolutions. I totally know this place too.
I would like to invite you to re-evaluate the way you set your New Year’s Resolutions. Perhaps offer you a way to hit the Re-Set Button so you can have success with your Resolutions this time round. I’m also gifting you with a FREE New Years Resolutions Guide.
Successful New Years Resolutions
Even writing this heading gives me a lift in my energy. But how can you make your New Years Resolutions truly successful? Some would say that the secret to success with New Years Resolutions is not to set them in the first place.
I don’t agree. We tend to live better more positive lives when we do have goals to follow. The real secret is to set your goals at a level of success or just above and not create goals that are too far out of your reach!
Why Am I Failing At My Resolutions and Goals?
From all my work with myself and my clients I would say that most failure to meet goals or achieve resolutions is down to STRESS!
Stress Can Come In Many Forms:
Stressed Thinking
There’s the negative thoughts that go on consciously and sub-consciously. The ones that say you are not good enough, not able to cope. The thoughts that probably got lodged into your energy thanks to unresolved past experiences.
Stressed Eating
Then there are the foods that trigger the stress response in you. Normally you can list these foods off for most people with processed sugar and trans fats being at the top of the list. But I have noticed that more and more every person can tend to have other foods that they are not able to tolerate that well. Remember too that if you are in a constant stressed state you are not able to digest your food properly. This can leave partially digested foods fermenting in your gut!
Stressed Exercise
I bet you think that all exercise is good for you. Well this is not always the case. Every single person on this planet is unique. We all have our own unique energy vibration. The physical body needs daily weight bearing motion for it to work at its best. You do need to be active each and every day, but you do not need to be lifting weights or climbing mountains to get the weight bearing motion you need for your body to work well. Many people are over-exercising which is putting their energy system under huge stress.
Too little exercise can also do this. When you are not exercising your lymphatic system is not working properly. Going up and down stairs is great for the lymphatic system.
Getting the Exercise Balance Right
I created Rebound For Wellness Programmes to offer people over 40 a way of getting into exercising for wellness and not fitness. Rebounding has been clinically proven (by NASA scientists) to be around 68% more effective than running or jogging. So around 20 minutes on the rebounder is like an hour our pounding the roads…
Lack of Water Causes Huge Stress To Your Body
Did you know that a lack of water can created huge stress and prevent you from being able to sleep. Dehydration causes constipation, sleeplessness, depression, anxiety, and much more. Think of a car. Without the right amounts of oil and water it won’t work. You are exactly the same. You need your daily intake of essential fat soluble vitamins like vitamins A, D, E and K and good drinkable water.
Already I have listed a number of areas that can cause great stress in your energy system and so prevent you from being able to meet your New Years Resolutions. The reason being when you are stressed you cannot access that conscious logical thinking part of your brain where all your recent goals and aspirations are kept.
The secret is to lower and manage your stress levels. Then set good clear goals that you will work towards through out the coming year and not seek to reach them over night. Setting Realistic Goals Breeds Success.
Having A New Year’s Resolution Plan Is Your Key To Success
Through my training in the Law of Attraction and Energy Psychology, I know that what you focus your energy on is what you get. That is why it is so important to always set goals that are achievable and don’t put you under stress. When you work from an ‘I can do’ place, you tend be able to see yourself as being more capable of doing what you need to do. Check out my FREE Guide To Making New Years Resolution Plans:
First Step: Set a New Year’s Resolution – Goal
Make it one you are going to work towards and achieve by the end of this New Year.
The key thing in setting this New Year’s Resolution – Goal, is that you won’t be reaching the end goal on the first day of the New Year. You are going to be working towards this goal over the year. Be realistic in the setting of your goal. Most New Years Resolutions fail because they are not realistic given your current life experience and situations. Perhaps your goals could be around reducing your stress levels and finding what exercise and diet that would work for you.
In Kinesiology sessions I test to find exactly what is putting your energy under stress and then what will help you to bring this back into balance – naturally.
Take Weight Loss
Your Goal could be to lose weight. This could be something you have struggled with for many years. You begin January with the resolution of joining a support group. You may even make yourself sick eating all the sugar in the house so it is ‘gone’ from the house before you start. Then, not long into the year, you get stressed and because your ‘go-to’ is eating sugar to help you cope, that is what you do. Then you begin to feel bad because you have eaten sugar and broken your New Year’s Resolution. To comfort yourself you eat more sugar, and so the pattern goes.
Everything is Vibrational – Including New Year’s Resolutions
Remember everything is vibrational – the universe is gifting you with more of what you are vibrating at. If you keep setting a goal to lose weight, then you will have weight to lose. If you set a goal of being ‘pain free’ you will have pain to be free of! That is why I set my New Year’s Resolutions with a positive focus and I set it in the present tense, as if I already had it right now. It is sort of like ‘faking it til you make it’, but what you are doing is creating the vibration you want. Then, the more you think that thought and imagine yourself having reached that goal you vibration is attracting that very vibration into your energy field.
My Advice For Setting Successful New Year’s Resolutions is:
- Set a realistic goal for you to achieve by 2023.
- Then set a Plan for how you will help yourself reach this goal during 2022.
- Set smaller goals that will be like stepping stones to help you get to that goal

- Get a yearly calendar and map out your steps so you know what you want to achieve, when and you can see a path to your achieving your goal
- Tell a trusted, supportive friend or coach what your intention is and how you are going to work it out, asking them to check in with you at regular intervals through the year – this is to help you keep to what you have set for yourself.
