There are more and more women struggling with menopause symptoms. Symptoms like hot flushes, palpitations, sore joints, muscles softening, cholesterol, heart issues, sleeplessness, the list is growing and growing.
I recently attended an online webinar given by Chris Atill-Smith and Jill Farr on The Menopause. The title on the day was: ‘How To Sail Through the Menopause as Nature Intended’.
Naturally enough, as a Kinesiologist who works with a lot of women over 40, I was very interested in this day on the Menopause. But, at a personal level I was a whole lot more interested.
Over the next weeks I will post a combination of the information in Chris and Jill’s webinar, other information I have from my own research and of course my own experience of living through this menopausal transition time.
The Menopause is 1 Day
Medically there are so many parts to the menopause, pre-menopause, peri-menopause, the menopause and post menopause. The menopause actually lasts 1 day. That day happens one whole year after your last menses or period. Then you are in post menopause.
Stress Affects the Menopause Experience
In your body there is this dance going on between many hormones all of the time. Form women, from puberty a specific dance begins between many hormones, but specifically oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone. During the menopause the levels of oestrogen and progesterone in the female reproductive organs begin to lower, but they don’t disappear completely.
The Adrenals Take Up The Hormonal Slack
As the oestrogen and progesterone levels lower in the womb and ovaries, the Adrenal gland is meant to take up the job of producing more progesterone and oestrogen to help with the transition. But they won’t be able to do this is you are in a state of stress.
The Modern World is a Stressed World
Women are more stressed today then they were many years ago. I say this not to belittle the lifestyles of or mothers and their mothers before them, but to state a reality.
- Toxins cause stress and there are toxins in pretty much everything today.
- Sugar causes stress – our lives are full of fast and convenient foods.
- Always being on the go, with no time to rest and relax leads to the development of stress hormones
- Lack of water with an over reliance on coffee ( a major stressor for the adrenals)
- Always having stressed thoughts of worry about children, finances, work, relationships – STRESS
- Exercise – either doing too much or too little, will add to stress.
First Things First – Calm The Stress
When working with clients and myself, I always look to find what emotional stressors there are. I do this because I learnt many years ago that I can be taking the best of nutrition and have a great wellness lifestyle programme, but if I am automatically and subconsciously triggering a stress response through unresolved past emotional hurts and stressors then it all goes for fight or flight.
Tapping Works For Calming Stress
Tapping is what worked for me, when it came to calming the stress response. Tapping helped me to resolve the main past triggers that were setting of this stress response 7 years ago. Tapping still helps me today and every day.
When I tap, I help to calm the parts of the brain that trigger the stress response. I also calm the hormones in my body. I retune the meridians and their related neurotransmitter energies. Neurotranmitters are chemical messengers in your body that send the message from the neurones in your brain through your body and back again. They help you take action, digest food, trigger the stress response. You know some of them – dopamine, serotonin, noradrenaline, histamine, etc.
Tap Into Success – A Book For Helping You Reduce Your Stress
The new form of Tapping that is in my book – Tap Into Success: Retune the Mind Body and Soul to Reach Your Greatest Potential, is all about retuning your stress levels and your meridian and neurotransmitter energies that are blocked due to that stress.
We are energy beings made up of some trillions and trillions of vibrations all working together to keep us well. Energy works faster than medicine – retuning thoughts can literally turn your stress levels around. When stressed we can’t make the informed wellness choices we want, because when stressed we trigger off past automatic negative patterns.
Tapping Makes Life Better – Naturally
Tapping makes it easier for you to make better and more informed choices about how you live your life. Trust me when I say, you can Tap your way to a better menopausal journey. But Tapping is only the first step. The other steps will be much easier once you are not triggering the stress response.
Tap Into Success Can Turn Your Stress Life Around
Get my book ‘Tap Into Success’ and get Tapping on reducing your stress levels. Lower stress levels means more time for the Adrenals to help you transition through the menopause.
One To One Tapping Sessions For 1:1 Focused Attention
I also work with women on a one to one level. If you have a specific stressor or event that you want to get resolved and retuned why not book some one to one sessions. Stress can cripple your life. Stress can make your menopausal journey so much worse – leading to much illness. It doesn’t have to be this way. Get Tapping your way to a much better and brighter day with Tap Into Success.
