When it comes to stressed thoughts we all could probably write the book. I did write the book on how stress caused me to become ill and in it I offer a very new Tapping technique (and if you are following my blog you will know all about): Tap Into Success – Retune the Mind, Body and Soul to Reach Your Greatest Potential. This book is my first attempt at trying to highlight the importance of your thinking patterns and the need to be actively working to keep them focused and positive.
This is not to say you don’t also need to first acknowledge and resolve the issue that caused the stressed thinking. This is one of the most important parts of what we have to do to change our subconscious and automatic negative thoughts. That is all in my Tap Into Success book. What I really want to focus on today is the power of our thoughts.
Do You Really Get The Power Your Thoughts Have ?
I think sometimes we can all pay great lip service to the power of the thoughts we think but then we just get on with our negative thinking day. Most of the time you are not aware of what you are thinking, especially when 95% of all your thinking time is subconscious and happens automatically.
You Have Your Own Universe Run By Your Thoughts
When you think about it, you are a well run universe of over 50 trillion cells. Each of those cells has its own little brain and many tiny strings of vibrational energy in it. Every single thought you think, every single letter in each of the words that make up the thoughts all contain a vibrational frequency. Just like a pebble causes ripples when thrown in water, the frequencies from your thoughts send out vibrations all over your universe of cells.
What We Already Know About The Flow of Energy
I studied the Law of Attraction some years ago and it reaffirmed what I had learnt through my Reflexology training. The Eastern Way has believed for thousands of years that your thoughts create the flow for your energy (called qi) which then creates the flow for your blood and the rest of your body to follow. Thoughts come first. Neuroscience is now saying the exact same thing. I think it is interesting how long it has taken our modern scientific world to catch-up with innate ancient ways.
The modern world has become too conditioned by one form of science to focus on needing proof. You have all the proof you need be taking a look at your current physical, emotional and mental state? If you are not sleeping well, lacking motivation, finding you are tired all the time – you are suffering the fall out from stress. Your thoughts are creating your reality and you can change those thoughts – right now and Tapping can help you to do that.
You Filter The Data
Another way to look at it is from the world of energy. We are energy beings. A stressed thought sends out a stressed frequency. How does your body know to mark this thought as stressed? You have this amazing filtering system that manages to filter through all the data you have put into your memory bank from your conception. It’s your past experiences and the conclusions you reached from those experiences that decide how you are going to act or react to the vibrations caused by the thoughts. This all happens in seconds and when stressed you have no conscious control over it.
You Think A lot of Stressed Thoughts All of The Time
For all the conscious stressed thoughts we have, there are hundreds of thousands of subconscious thoughts. Think of how many conscious negative thoughts you have had say today alone. Those judging, self-critical, demanding, thoughts are there for a reason. We are hard wired to sense danger. But when that hard wiring causes us to be a danger to ourselves because through thinking negative thoughts we are setting off stress neurotransmitters and hormones throughout the body, we need to figure out a different way.
