
Recently I was reminded about the importance of having positive thoughts. I was passing someone and I over heard them mutter these words – ‘what else can possibly go wrong.’ I had this image of the universal angels standing with their hands on their heads thinking, what else can we send to match this vibrational energy frequency?
I wanted to tell the person to stop inviting the universe to gift them with more opportunities to think that way. But, then I thought that my weighing in could cause them to feel even worse about themselves so I just smiled at them and said hello. I did get a smile back as we passed each other. I hope that helped raise their vibration for even just a second.
Every Encounter is GIFT
I see every encounter as gift, offering me something that I needed to know or learn. This encounter gifted me with the chance to refocus my thoughts to even more positive frequencies. It also nudged me to write this post for you and your friends if you would like to share it with them. Wouldn’t it be great to sail into 2021 armed with ways to help you retune your energy to a more positive frequency and all you had to do was change your thinking patterns?
Right Now You Could Be Forgiven For Not Having Positive Thoughts
With so much pressure on you to think and act a certain way just to try and stay safe from this ever evolving virus you can be forgiven for thinking critical and stressful thoughts right now. Add to that the language being used around this virus – with words like war, fight, be alert always, be on the look out, etc. When we think words like this we automatically send messages around our body to get ready for fight or flight. But this is the very time that it would be in your best interests to think really positive, uplifting and self-loving thoughts.
Why Think Positive Thoughts Even When Everything Is Shouting At You To Be Stressed?
Through the years I have come to realise that even when we are the most stressed that we think we have ever been, the challenge is always to think positive thoughts. I love reading a little book by Florence Scovel Shine titled – Your Word is Your Wand. It as the sequel to her book The Game of Life and How to Play it. Florence was a metaphysician who was writing back in the early 1900’s. In this little book she offers many words that we could say to help us focus on the positive side. She did this because she was invested in helping people be positive because she knew how it would pay off for those who did it.
Your Positive Thoughts Create Your Positive Energy
Like Florence I truly believe that we are energy beings – with all those 50 trillion cells that are filled with very tiny strings of vibrational frequencies. The environment we live in tunes all those trillions and trillions of frequencies. Right now the thoughts you think are telling a part of your brain to send out certain neurotransmitter energies and hormones. If you are thinking negative and fearful thoughts then the energies being sent out are to have you in fight and flight (stress response) mode. If however the thoughts you are thinking are positive and focused on right now and living this moment as joyfully and gratefully as you can, then you are sending out restful and immune enhancing energies.
Your Thoughts Create Your Vibrational Energy Frequency
What you think – sets the frequency of your energy – this is what you send out and get back from the universe. All we have is right now. This present moment. Our energy is fast acting, faster than even the conscious thoughts we have. By being your own best friend and offering positive thoughts into your vibration you are making your vibration and this moment positive.
Every New Positive Thought is a Chance to Retune Your Energy
It doesn’t matter what your vibration was for the previous moment – that moment is gone. But if it was negative, it could still be resonating in your vibration just like the ripples in water when a stone is thrown in. 3 Ways to Keep You Thinking Positive Thoughts
Here are just 3 of many many ways that I use with clients to help them refocus their day on being positive in the present moment.
1 – Put Up Post-Its
Take a load of sticky post-its and write lots of ‘I truly …’ scripts on them all written in the present tense – like:
- I truly am okay
- I truly love myself
- I truly am filled with peace
- I truly am blessed
- I truly am grateful for …
- I truly am grateful
- I truly know I am safe and Divinely Protected
- I truly love my smile
- I truly see the good in myself
- I truly see the good in others
- I truly speak words of kindness always
You may have more scripts you wish to write. Go around your house and place these post-its in places that your eye normally sees each day – could be on the insides of cupboards, on mirrors, on the inside of the front door, in the car, in your handbag. I will create such scripts and colourfully decorate them before laminating them so they will last a while.
2 – Take Time to Breathe in Positive Words and Thoughts
I don’t know about you, but I am less likely to think a negative thought if I stay calm and am less stressed. One way that I can stay thinking positive thoughts is to take time through my day where I will:
- Stop what I am doing
- Place my hands on my solar plexus area
- Take some deep relaxed breaths (breathing through my nose)
- Repeat a positive script while taking the breaths (Truly am calm / I truly got this / I truly am okay)
By taking time to connect into your solar plexus area, you are connecting into your power centre. You are also slowing and calming your breathing. Then you are refocusing your vibration to a positive thought.
3 – Set Yourself a Goal for how many people you will say a kind word to or do a kind thing for.
This could be as simple as sending a kind text to a friend or family member. You might open the door for someone. While I think a little planning always goes a long way, some of these random acts of kindness will literally just happen for you. But the key thing is to set yourself a target for the day. Then the universe will gift you with opportunities to be kind. When are are thinking kindness and being kind we will have more and more kindness in our lives – that is how the energy works.
Have Fun With Your Positive Thoughts
I hope you have fun with putting these three ways into practice. Let me know how you get on with them. One thing is for sure, when you are choosing to do any of these three ways, right now in this present moment, you are focusing on positive thoughts and positive ways. This is you retuning your vibration to positive frequencies right now. The more you practice such habits daily, the more they will become automatic habits for you to use every day. Then watch how your world changes to be more and more positive.
