Living our best life sounds easy, right? Everyday you get up, you really do want to live your best life. But how often do you end that day saying; ‘yes today I really focused on living my best life and I did a great job’? I know this is something we all want to do. Then the busy-ness of the day comes along and we get swept along on the different waves that come our way. Before we know it, the day is over and we have just about made it through! Here is a saying that I say every morning; ‘Today is a new day, time for a new way’.
The Celtic People saw each New Day as a New Way
This is something the Celtic peoples would have done. They believed strongly that each day ended with sunset and with the setting sun went all the work, play, arguments, love … of that day. Then they faced into the night asking to be kept safe in the darkness – safe from the animals of the night, the elements and from their enemy’s. When they awoke the next morning, they would greet the new day with gratitude for having survived the night – before asking for blessings on their new day. They also believed that the new ways that came would be blessings for them and their families.
What you Focus on is what you get.
Quite often when I hear myself say words like ‘what you focus on is what you get’, I tell myself to find a new way of saying that. But, there is no better way to put it. Every thought we think is setting our focus for the day, the week, the rest of our life. 95% of our thoughts are subconscious. Most of those help us to functions through our day. Imagine the amount of subconscious thoughts you are having right now to keep you breathing, awake, sitting upright, walking, etc.. So they are necessary and normal thoughts and well worth the having.
Subconscious Thinking Scripts
But they aren’t the only thoughts that we are having subconsciously. In there we also have scripts that we learnt from our parents, aunts, uncles, teachers and any significant adults when we were children. We also have negative scripts that we got from unresolved events and possibly traumas through our life, with most of them developing in childhood.
What Happens To You When You Get Overstressed?
When we are over stressed, we can find that our logical and conscious thinking brain gets totally bypassed and those subconscious scripts get to rule our thinking. Some of these top thoughts might be:
- I’m not good enough
- I can’t cope
- I can’t do it
- I don’t deserve
- I don’t feel I belong
- Nobody cares about me
- I have to help everyone
- I’m wrong
When you are thinking these thoughts you will trigger a stress response that prepares you for danger. The danger response happens because of the sense of threat you are feeling. You believe you can’t meet your own needs and you may also believe no-one else can either. That stress response will lower your immunoglobulin levels which impacts your immune system. If this is happening all the time – if you are thinking these types of thoughts all the time, then we are going to be triggering the stress response all the time.
When you are constantly and quite often subconsciously triggering a stress response all the time, you will lower your immune system and its ability to fight off pathogens or clear toxins. You are unable to digest food properly because when you are in the stress response, your body shuts off the digestive system and sends all the energy to the limbs and organs to help fight your way out of danger or run from danger to safety.
So, What Can You do To RETUNE Your Vibration?
You can have a daily routine that encourages you to focus on new ways.
Your First Mental Thought Counts
The first thought you think each day literally sets your vibrational frequency. Put post-its – with positive affirmations on them – in all the places you look first thing in the morning. That could be: beside the bed, on the bathroom mirror, on the cupboard door, on your work table, on the milk bottle or kettle. These will be the first thoughts you see and then think each day. You may want to go all out and create or print off your favourite pictures with positive affirmations on them. Do whatever helps you raise your positive vibration the highest.
Tapping Helps You Get Back To Living Your Best Life
Around 6 years ago I developed non-trigger panic attacks. This happened after a very stressful year. The attacks came out of nowhere, or so I thought and they could be triggered at any time. There was no pattern or reason. But, I knew I had been very stressed the months before and it was probably a factor! If I’m brutally honest, I was very stressed before the attacks came on, but that had ended a couple of months before the attacks started. Or, so I thought!
At that time, I discovered that Tapping Really Works for changing negative subconscious thinking patterns fast and sometimes for good, truly making each day a New Day. Back then I tapped for about two weeks non-stop everyday. I was following a programme online. I already knew about tapping, I had studied it (Thought Field Therapy) while training as a Systematic Kinesiologist. This time I was using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) a more modern way of tapping. It worked so well for me that I went and trained in it. I now use a new and advanced form of tapping called TMT with clients and it is really transforming people’s lives.
Drinking Water a New Way
We are water energy beings that came from the sea. We are over 70% water. Every morning when you wake, drink some room temperature or hotter water. Some like to place lemon in their water, this is a great way to start your day. You are beginning to rehydrate from the night. Like our car, there needs to be an optimum level of water in our body for us to function well each day. If you drink 200ml of water every hour from 8am to 6pm you will have drubs 2 litres. When it’s broken down, that’s not a lot of water per hour. It is also good to make sure you are drinking good clean water. I tend to stop drinking water around 7 in the evening, having a herbal tea before bed. Then I take some water to bed with me, should I wake in the night, I will empty my bladder and then take a little sip of water to keep my body rehydrated through the night.
What we Eat is What we Become
This is something like ‘what we focus on is what we get’. Everything is energy, everything’s has its vibration including you and you need to eat and digest foods that will enhance and boost your vibration. Processed sugar does not enhance your vibration. This is something I know personally and from my work as a Systematic Kinesiologist. Try to make your diet organic if you can and fresh as much as possible. Coming off processed sugar will leave you tired at first, as your body begins to clear out the toxins
Exercise for Wellness not for a Marathon – Another New Way
We don’t have to run a marathon to get the exercise we need each day. Walking is good. The exercise that I like most is Rebounding. It works every cell in the body and helps the lymphatic system to clear out toxins. NASA Scientists back in 1980 published a paper showing that it is 68% more effective than running on a treadmill. With more recent studies focusing on the use of rebounding for improved bone strength. I have to stress that rebounding works best when you begin very slowly with just one minute rebounding and then begin to build up to say 20 minutes max a day. I have created some Rebound for Wellness Programmes that help you do exactly this. You can check them out at www.retuningme.com/rebound-for-wellness.
Sleep Like a Baby
How many of us struggle with sleep? Did you know that you prepare for your sleep the whole time you are awake. The food you eat, the water you drink, the exercise you take and the thoughts you think all will have an impact on your sleep. As will over exposure to electro-magnetic frequencies from wi-fi routers and wi-fi gadgets. It is good to make sure you are sleeping in a calm and restful room too. Turn off all gadgets, lights and machines. This allows for a better night sleep. Not watching scary programmes before bed will also help. If you are struggling with sleep it could be for a number of reasons – lack of nutritional support, dehydration, stress or lack of exercise. A Systematic Kinesiologist can help you figure this out.
I Hope You Now Feel Inspired to Create New Ways of Living Your Best Life
I hope that after reading this article, you might pause for a minute or two and think of how you can begin to put some of these habits into practice. You might begin with one change in your day and then go to two changes a day. The more you can practice new changes on a daily basis, the more chance there is of implementing these changes with lasting effect. Make these changes while also tapping on them and there is an even greater chance they will last.
